300: Rise of an Empire, sequência de 300 estrelada por Rodrigo Santoro (Heleno) como Xerxes, começou a ganhar a suas primeiras imagens e também um pôster (que abre esse post).
A trama do longa é baseada na HQ Xerxes escrita por Frank Miller, o mesmo autor da HQ 300. E mostrará uma história paralela à Batalha das Termópilas do primeiro filme, onde Xerxes lidera um exército contra as forças gregas sob comando do general Temístocles. O passado do conquistador também será explorado.
No elenco, entre outros, estão ainda Sullivan Stapleton (o general ateniense Temístocles), Jamie Blackley (o adolescente Calisto) e Eva Green (a rainha persa Artemísia).
